From the rolling countryside of Brazil comes a horse unlike anything most American riders have ever experienced.
The Mangalarga Marchador combines unmistakable South American elegance with extraordinary stamina, intelligence, athleticism and an exceptionally smooth natural gait. Developed for riders who spent long days and great distances in the saddle, the Marchador was created to make the journey as enjoyable as the destination.
Its signature marcha offers remarkable comfort without turning the horse into merely a pleasure mount. These are athletic, versatile horses with the stamina to travel, the intelligence to work, and the personality to become deeply connected with their riders.
In 1994, Mangalarga Marchadors completed an extraordinary 8,694-mile endurance journey, earning recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records—a remarkable testament to the toughness and staying power bred into these Brazilian horses.
Rare in North America yet deeply treasured in their native Brazil, Marchadors offer something increasingly difficult to find:
Exotic beauty. Exceptional comfort. Genuine versatility. And centuries of Brazilian heritage beneath your saddle.
At Proven Spots Ranch, we are proud to preserve, breed and introduce this extraordinary South American horse to a new generation of American riders.
